Description
Hello Rendosians,
Today, I share with you another shot from my vacation in Greece.
During my visit in this beautiful country, I was surprised to see everywhere this symbol with the shape of an eye (stylized or realistic) that can be bought in every store.
Our guide explained us that this symbol named Βασκανία (evil eye) is an amulet for protecting someone or something.
Greek peoples are very superstitious and they buy this amulet to protect a newborn baby, their home or even their brand new car.
You can find it as pendants, ring, earing, beading, keyring and much more...
Usually the main color is blue as in my picture.
This capture was a display of evil eyes for sale in front of a store : the mix of old wood and blue color caught my eye and I decided to take this photography.
So... good luck to anyone and thanks for the click and the comment :-)
Virginie

Cool designs. I'm not superstitious, but we have one hanging on our wall just as a decorative thing. Ours is from Turkey, though we bought it in an import store in California. Might post a photo of it some day...
