Description

shot in my back yard. the wings of hummingbird moths are clear with a black or brown border which are nearly invisible when they fly. this is a male and he's about 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) long. unlike most moths, hummingbird moths fly during the daylight hours. the flower is a phlox. thanks so much for looking and comments!

excellent capture and very beautiful. I took pictures of one in Colorado and no more than I had arrived at home, I was able to take pictures in my yard of one. this one is more beautiful for color than the type I seen
