Description

This older nun/sister was really checking out this Porsche. I wondered what went through her head while looking at it. What she was looking at was the 1948 Porsche 356 #1, the very first Porsche built in Gmuend, Austria, and was completed in March 1948. It had a 1131 cc air-cooled flat-4 engine, producing 35 bhp @ 4,000 rpm. Steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, clutch and headlights were all sourced from Volkswagen. The top speed was 135.16 kph/ 85 mph. It is on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. This picture was taken on 4 January 2010, Sig...

Superb capture my friend. Maybe she was a passenger in such a vehicle when she was much younger. Where were her mind when you took this capture. God bless.

@kgb224! Good question Christo. That's what I was thinking, She just wasn't the type of person that would go an Automobile Museum. Who knows what she did before she became a nun!

In the years I knew the Porsche and it's owners no one ever called it a 356. Now Normal is the term that seems to have disappeared in conversations.

I would have liked to know what went through her head as she stood there analyzing the car - because she was definitely doing more than just casually glazing at it!
