Description


This is what remains after the birth of a Dragonfly. I saw several of them in a little pond, hanging under big leaves of water lilies; quite in the dark, so I was the only one who noticed them. This picture I turned to the left, so the pop is more visible. Here such birth is to see on YouTube, hoping the link does function. I've seen the birth of such insects, and they're amazing. You captured this like a piece of bronze. It's stunning. You got a dazzling light on it---it truly looks like it's made of metal, almost gold. Amazing light. And, with Claude, I agree that that stringy thing on its upper body looks like string that holds him together. Beautiful capture and light.
