Thank you for comment Andrea! As you can see: the nail varnish and the playing cards are having a used look, just love it!

It's a testament to Carmen that it has endured so many wild and varied interpretations, and so many of them have worked. (I started life as a classical musician---12 years classical piano plus composition, orchestration, etc---and though I didn't study opera in detail, I studied it enough to know some of the wildly inventive approaches to it. Carmen was made into a most inventive film too---I believe set in a African village---and it just seems to hold up no matter what.) The full shot of this is an amazing sight, and you captured it with striking clarity. But your closeup not only shows the detail of a dirtied hand (with smoked cigarette, stained filter and cracked nail polish!), but you turned it into a great abstract, something from an avant garde photography studio. Love how you made part of a large public display into a sculpture, something one would expect to see in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Terrific closeup and crop. And, with you and Andrea, the design is an amazing piece of realism.
