after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

This is such a lovely tribute to our lost "soldiers." I was just thinking about "Blush" the other day. I didn't realize that "Bossie Boots" also passed away--another shock. She must have passed during one of my hiatuses from Poser. Then there was Jean Luc over at RDNA who left us. Ack, makes me so depressed. But it is nice and good to remember those who have left us. The ancient Egyptians believed that as long as a name of a deceased was remembered, they would live on. So, when one sees a name hacked away on an ancient Egyptian monument, you know somebody wanted to "kill" that person. Well, we are better than the ancient Egyptians, at least in that respect.

I just stumbled on this image today, and of course the title caught my eye as well as your beautiful artwork.
Mina was one of the first people to welcome me when I started here over ten years ago. She took an interest in my art and in me as a person, and was never impatient or less than enthusiastic. The dedications she did for me were personal and based on conversations we'd had and on shared interests. I think Renderosity lost one of its finest when she passed, and I will never forget her. She was a shining light to so many people here, and a dear friend. I can picture how she would have used this background, and your piece uses it in a way I know she would have loved.
Thank you for such wonderful memories today, Steve. You've made me feel like Mina is close by. This is beautiful.
