Captured back on 8/3/2011, at the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California.

The black grouper (Mycteroperca bonaci) is one of the best known of the large group of perciform fish called groupers. Other common names include black rockfish, bonaeci arara, and marbled rockfish.

I SO love your variations of this amazing fish. My fav is the white lower one. Can almost feel the texture :)

Love all the variations, and the original is beautiful too. Your 2d image has beautiful contrasts between the dark greens and blacks, with the lighter blues of the water. That line in front of his head is a beautiful aqua hue. In the 3d frame, one can, with helle, feel the texture as if you did a punctured emboss with it, making it into a poked and pounded clay sculpture...with a grainier, almost stone background (with a real shadow behind the grouper). And the final one is a standoff, this time between two yellow versions of the grouper; with a kaleidoscope effect behind them. A beautiful set of variations, from a fine solo capture, Harry.
