Like barn ready and fully restored this brings up the issue on steps of worn vs. pristine. Now here the quiet nearly natural setting reacts well with the sharp crisp edges of the stones as they meander on an edge.

Nice! There is something about steps. To me, they have the same appeal in a photograph as does a bend in a road or path. One wonders, Where will the steps lead?, just as one wonders what is around the bend in the road.
