Description

This is a partial view of a Bauernhof (farm) in Berlin-Luebars. The brick buildings surrounding a central, cobble-stoned courtyard, are probably several hundred years old, and the roofs are tiled, most likely fairly new and probably replacing former straw roofs. The buildings are housing living quarters, stables for the horses, and barns for other livestock, straw, hay and farm equipment, This farm is typical of what can now be found in the outskirts of Berlin of the remaining old villages, dating back to the 12 th century.
