Description

Looks like a future hot rodder to me... 1940 Plymouth Business Coupe at 3rd Annual Belmont Show & Shine, Belmont, Nova Scotia on Sept 9, 2017. Just purchased a new Nikon AF 50mm 1.8D and wanted to test it out. I like the results very much but not used to having to stand back a bit from the car and have people walk between you and the car, unaware they are doing so...

It's in his blood, cool ride, stylish and beautiful. Your shot is so vivid in color. Congats on the new camera, wish I had one.

You captured this young boy's curiosity & fascination with this classic car perfectly. I like the intense colors as well...

I had the same experience in California. I had my 70-200 telephoto lens still on my camera when I stopped to take pictures of some vintage hot rods. I had to back up a good 35 to 40 feet in order to shoot the entire side of the cars.

superb capture and very candid. I can guess what's going on in the boy's mind unless the car has a risque gear shift handle

I would not see any resemblance to a same year Ford, but a Studebaker? That said and knowing a few Plymouth street players I would say that in spite of the custom chrome wheels and radial tires it probably still has the original six. That Hi-compression hype is slow to die! not to mention the cradle motor mounts remembered by folks of that era.
