Description
Steampunk Patrol Boat by Coflek-Gnorg is great! This scene is really a work in progress, as I'm trying to find the most realistic ways of doing wakes, bow-waves and smoke in scenes, without post work. Still a long way to go, as you can see, but it's a start.

Beautiful Scene! And Steampunk Boat is great! Be able to make everything in 3D is generally Our greatest goal,But some of the reasons(realism problem) mostly of time doesn't possible! Generally,I prefer Postwork for Fire-smoke-explosion-Rain-snowflake-and some foam/bubble or wake from a cruising boat! Sea or ocean must be real 3D, if it's possible to find a good 3D sea surface Model and a successful Water/sea material must be applied on it! Iray does have good materials for water, and as far as I know there's a new Plug in for DAZ/Iray about creating/animating realistic sea! In poser ,one and only successful sea material I know, made by baggingsbill! That smoke on your render is seriously successful, maybe you need a real 3D water surface with a good I ray water material for achieving to your goal to "to find the most realistic ways of doing wakes, bow-waves"
I also Wanted to thank you for your kind comment and very useful advice about the noise problem

Hi Dreamdesigner. The smoke in this scene is made up of eight separate "fog" props, morphed and retextured to varying degrees. This is just an experiment and learning experience for me, but fun, too as I have a soft spot for SteamPunk![☺](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/emojione/assets/4.5/png/32/263a.png)
