I agree - amazing. The one time we were in Joshua Tree, it was kind of spooky. We had just watched a documentary on tv a couple of weeks before about a bunch of mysterious, unsolved disappearances at Joshua Tree & when we got there (close to twilight), there was only one other vehicle in the parking lot. It was a van with no windows & a couple of creepy looking guys were standing around it. My wife, my young son & his friend were in the car with us & we all were getting bad vibes from the situation, so we got back in the car & left (we were on our way to Arizona). That was about 30 years ago & we haven't been back since, though I would like to get back there someday...

Two young tourists have disappears in july with their car. A mystery. We read that on an official notice (from rangers) near the loop of Barker Dam. But the loops and small hiking are very safe with a lot of (sometimes funny) tourists. A path was closed for hiking in the south of the park because of too much heat.

Joli point de vue, avec de l'imagination, ou pourrait y voir la patte d'un animal mythologique posée sur le sol!

This is really cool! I think if I got close to this tree, I'd have this inherent niggling in my head to be really careful not to step on its toes. lol
Great capture!
