Description

Here is the first in this series of Arachnids. As a very young child I was afraid of spiders but it did not last very long. I was probably 7 or 8 when my fear turned into fascination. They get a bad rap. Very few are venomous and most help keep insect populations in check. This Barn Spider dropped onto the hood of my truck and I was lucky enough to have seen it as well as having a camera in my hand at the time. A dusting of pollens and some faint reflections provided the background colors after a bit of coaxing with Paint Shop Pro and Topaz Studio. My thanks to those who have taken the time to comment.
