Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm sorry for your loss, Marilyn. Having a dog in your life is something special. Mine passed fifty years ago and to this day I still sometimes think about her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My dear Chloe passed away 9/15/17, and I know what that hole feels like. Folks who don't own dogs simply cannot imagine what it is like to lose one of these dear, special friends.

So young! what a shame.
As you may remember I have had 19 dogs so far and am getting better at parting, but I know what a wrench it is.

So sorry; it is SO hard to lose a member of the family. Remember the joy she brought and most importantly, remember she has no more pain.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all who knew Odie. She will wait for you at the end of the Rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and believe me, despite of the remark of "goldie", even as more sort of a "Cat person", I still can deeply empathize with you. I lost my beloved Siam Cat Lucy due to a car accident, when she was only 11 months old and we had her for just about 8 months. But equipped with a unparalleled character and such a lovely way she filled my heart in that short time with joy while she lived and my eyes with a lot of tears when she was ripped out of her and my life. My thoughts go out to you and all who recently lost a dear pet - a family member actually! Be blessed

I really thought I'd commented on this (I know I wrote to you about her, but I guess I never commented on this image, my apologies). It's a beautiful soft portrait of a young beautiful animal. And I know how dogs become family, they're siblings and our children, and even become our parents because they protect us and would die for us. I didn't realize she was so young. Again, my sympathies, and I'm sorry you lost her so young. It's really a touching portrait; very soft and loving tones...
