Description

Peacock is an ambiguous vernacular name indicating certain birds belonging to several species and subspecies of the family of phasianidés, classified in the kinds Pavo and Afropavo. Thus the peacocks are close to pheasants and to Guinea fowls. Their remarkable plumage is the reason of their popularity in the culture and arts.
