someone I know had a Cadillac convertible about this year with hydraulics. he kept in a storage place and would lower it to the floor. someone broke in and wanted to steal the car but was unable because of it sitting on the floor. so they tore the car up

To me this is a vary rare car in a photo. I mostly knew the front drive Eldorado as I knew the test driver at Milford in 1963-65. If some one asked me the displacement of the engine I would say something between 429 and 500,--- uh maybe 488? The radial tires keep it on the road and that is a blessing. My neighbor in Seal Beach just had to have a Cadillac for his wife and he bought a 1963. The neighbor across the street's wife had a Coupe Deville. Now this is a real man's car without the longhorn steer horns on the hood! You saw the opportunity and caught it!
