Well, Christian, it's my pleasure to comment on your exquisite work once more. When I return to RR, it's usually for 2 weeks; and I comment by gallery, not by ebots (or by dates). So I do 2 or 3 galleries per day, and no more. I always look forward to your work, because you have such consistency in your work, and such quality. And you do it with such thoughtfulness: There isn't any 'artifice' in your work, any attempt to overplay it or overdue it. I've used excessive techniques, and others have as well: But you have a deep sense of quality and balance in everything you create; and I've not seen an image of yours that doesn't live up to that quality. Also (as I've said before), I see everything you post; so if I only comment on a 'selection' of your images, it's only because I'm slow at commenting, and not because any image is any less worthy than any other. They're all worthy of our time. (I need to edit each comment I write, because my "first draft" is un-readable---it's like "notes," in a notebook. So I'm very slow at this! And it's the only reason I skip images; because the quality of your work is worthy, in each image.)
I've noticed a number of postworked images from you, of late, and you do them with real panache. You've turned this flower into an almost-glass sculpture. The white petals are balance to the greens; and the greens run from yellow-greens to dark greens. Plus you have a muddy hue in the background, which makes the leaves and flower stand out. Very sensitive work. And I like the gold tones too.
