Description

It is Christmas Day, four days past the summer solstice, but it is not warm. It had rained in the morning, and in the afternoon the sun came out and some people came out and took advantage of this and caught some rays. It was a quiet day, and the pleasant surprise was that Christmas around here was not about sales and profits, as it is in the United States, where Christmas is a make or brake occasion to make a profit. Being from the north, imagine my surprise when I discovered that the big thing to do in San Antonio on Christmas Day is not to stay home and open gifts and eat a big dinner, but to get together with the entire family and wander around at the Riverwalk! People don't generally go outside when it's cold during the holidays. :P
