Amazing work.

A nice dedication for a very sad event. What is more sad is that we seem to be creating people like this and no one seems to understand why.

Humans will always find a way to kill. Its not the weapon of choice that's the problem, but the one that chooses it. If they cant blow it up,they shoot it, if they cant shoot it,they stab it, if they cant stab it, they run over.

What's the problem?
The lobby of the weapons is too powerful. And he has relationships with dozens of senators and deputies. At Capitol Hill does not fall leaf that the National Rifle Association does not want. All legal, of course. All transparent and in the light of the sun. All recorded and denounced. But the fact is that Congress is basically in the hands of the firearms industry.( Notice from Panorama News , Italy August 28 2015)

In full zoom this is just amazing. The color gradations are exquisite, the slight green and orange tint are opulent, the texture and light on her gown is lush, like you painted it with pure light. You did a fine job on her autumn-gold hair. THe greens of her wings make beautiful contrast to her ambers and whites. And you've got doves, moon, clouds, flowers, etc, in the background. I think you had this on a card, but oh, full size it blooms beautifully. Beautiful work, Steve, very painterly, mixed with 3D. Re Las Vegas...you know, in that lonnnng story I just posted, from the Middle Ages? I tried to weave in a little of the horrors of the age (without sinking the story): The Middle Ages was a brutal time, where whole villages could be wiped out in a day, just because some knights needed booty (money, in those days): Those knights didn't care; and very few kingdoms did anything to stop them. In fact, many kings and queens financed their exploits. Which tells us that little has changed. Even in the 21st C, we still have that wild west mentality...we have a long way to go. (The reason my characters in that tale ate, drank and danced with such abandon was because they knew that their lives could be snuffed out in a moment.) All those lives lost because of one gunman, who no one stopped or even questioned. And how did he ever get so many guns? Your image is the light that that shooter never had. Beautifully done.
