Description
Some topinambour flowers. This plant is also called Jerusalem artichoke, sunroot, sunchoke or earth apple.

I know this vegetable but have never seen its flowers. Brilliant image, perfectly exposed against a bright blue sky.

I have just posted a photo of a close relative of this plant, which I know as Helianthus tuberosus. Super photo! I can't eat the tubers, they are renowned for causing earth shattering flatulence!
