Another example of textures & structures in redwood bark that can spark the imagination. I see a bearded man, but perhaps you see something else?

though I'm an abstractionist more than anything else (in visual art), I don't usually look for---and therefore don't find---faces and creatures in designs like this. I'm too drawn to the shapes themselves, though I can see how others find such faces and creatures. As a capture of visceral swirls and bulges, it's very strong. And it has a spilling feeling, as it flows like lava into the ground level. Intense and sensual, and I love the hues.
