Description
This small snake was near death in my garage.... I have no idea of how it arrived at that place.
Seeming unharmed, but dehydrated, it's barely moving body was relocated to "shallows" of a small yard pond, of which I have previously posted images. Apparently the cold waters and another opportunity to live were enough
to give it strength to crawl into higher grass beside the pool... Godspeed, little friend.
I am attempting to identify its species, and have some familiarity with snakes, so a " guess " at this time would be an Eastern Hog nose, a harmless and shy victim of circumstance....

.... found two days later, head down in the pool of its redemption, I sadly post the aftermath of an event this afternoon. I can only guess that the snake was a victim of a Blue Jay, and weak from its journey, and now has joined its eternal being.

Great shot and sad to hear the little guy didn't make it.

Hope it makes it. Or its food for the crows.
