Description

the post has been broken for most of this year, but yet the utility companies has not replaced. notice their idea of a repair, bailing wire to help hold it up. sounds like a car that I seen several times in Monterrey, Mexico with the fenders having wire to hold them on. I called a TV station today and they claimed that they had heard about it, but claim the utility companies are busy in Florida. hey, what about the previous months this year . if it falls on a car, you can imagine what can happen

It's one of those things, if it hasn't fallen no priority things.

It seems a simple enough fix for a utility company. I notice in your photo that there seems to be an inordinate number of poles leaning. Maybe they don't issue levels to the people who put up the poles.... 😲

the only thing missing in this scene is either the bubblegum or duct tape....

Perhaps someone or something has to get hurt before this becomes a priority.

Wonder how much longer it will take ???

I wonder if anybody is enough of a nitwit to park under that. (Sadly, I suspect the answer is yes.)

I thought that some things just happened to us, but I still know that "the whole world is a country" (Sob)826799.jpg

yeah it is amazing that this broken pole is allowed to stand there, and I've seen cars hit with poles; they can do major damage (not to mention what they can do if they hit a person). But I was also drawn to the shot for it's wonderful skew of verticals, with the exception of that one standout pole, even though the other poles are on angles too. And the open sky that dominates most of the shot---it sets off the poles. And I love the parched ground in the lower portion of the shot, and the smattering of buildings. I like the spare music of the shot, showing that even when you're capturing a problem, your inner eye is still at work.
