as in all your work, zoom is essential. There, we see the grain and speckles splattered throughout this layered eye-bending abstract. It's like a house of mirrors, or the facade of a steel-glass highrise picking up countless geometric patterns in its reflections. The sameness is broken up by all kinds of color variations, crossing streaks, and wonderful splotches where you abandon the 'diamonds' here---the repeated geometric shapes---and go into pure lava-like spills. Really vital work. You do these extremely well, and your color sense is wonderfully diverse and opulent.
