Description
A quick still life made with a fineliner and an Elegant Writer pen and water wash.
Have a great time. :) Pretty wet today but we finally got the windows cleaned. They were so awful and we cannot do it anymore. But now a man came and did it for money :)

How utterly CHARMING. This is outstanding for a quick piece. I like the energy it conveys, and the cool mood that flows from your muted tones. I really like the hint of teal (or it it cyan?). Well done.

several people spoke of your speed and energy in this, and how well they work in this painting/drawing. I didn't see the comments when this first went up, so it's nice to see them now...This is one of your jazzy pieces, where you create presence, strength, whimsy, contrast, etc, with quick lines and washes, and it's jazzy and wonderful. Another style of yours, perhaps born of necessity, but it's a style you've had for years, and it has such life and fun. And it's intense too---your dark parts are very intense. I love the pouring-down washes behind, and the purple-aqua hues. I love this. (And what's with the "oops"??? Did you make a mistake? What, you didn't like your lines? your washes? It's so funny to see that there!) Love this!
(And btw, thank you so much for all your comments. I'd normally have thanked you by now, but I've been dragging myself through uploads and comments, so I've just not gotten the words out. But your comments are always so loving and uplifting, they always christen my work, and I'm always deeply grateful for them, Helle. More when I write...)
