Description

Autumn is a really good time for finding fungi and I found these. Amanitas are fungi with attitude. They're beautiful, but very toxic. I just happened to see the dead earwig and decided to photograph it. I'm not sure whether it died because of the effects of the fungus or not. I know that Amanita toxin was used as a flykiller for several centuries so I suppose it could also kill earwigs.
