every time there is new construction, the utility company wants to raise everyone's rates so they can pay for the construction costs on other peoples business. the builder of wind turbines in West Texas wanted the public to pay for the construction costs to get the electric to DFW area seems all most companies wants their cake and eat it also Rodney Dangerfield said in one of his comedy routines- "he had went to a fast food and the clerk asked if the food was for here or to go. he replied that he wanted to eat it here and take it with him."

Well, as long as certain politicians are in power it's always going to be for big business. Look at the stadiums. Public bonds, public domain, etc. and then some how these stadiums become private and individuals walk away with millions. Fortunately the public had wised up. That's why so many new stadiums are named after big banks.

Cool shot! We belong to an electric co-op, so we really don't have this problem. I know people in the town to the north of us are screaming about this same electric crap. They pay so much already, and now the power company wants more. Sometimes there is an advantage to living way out in the boonies.
