Description

Because I don't remember which butterfly it was, no name in the title. ;-) At first I thought an Admiral (Vanessa atalanta), but now I think it's a Peacock. Anyway it's a butterfly, who enjoyed the view in our garden; a macro shot, with little bit of post work on the stones. Thank you all for your lovely words on my earlier uploads, dear friend.

Such detail, and so beautiful!

Yesterday I went for a walk, and there was almost no wind. As I walked around the park, I was surrounded by small butterflies. I assume they were migrating (we're in the south Texas park now), and it was quite an experience!

I like the contrast between the dark butterfly and the bright rocks. And your postwork on the rocks make them look like they're underwater in some areas. A beautiful contrast, and a stunning closeup of the highly detailed wings of the butterfly.
