Description

This portrait reminds me of a production still from a 40s gangster movie. I'm still stuck on noir, experimenting with expressions. Turns out its difficult, at least for me, to get a good expression. Any flatness reads through the lack of color, so slightly unfocused eyes, or an un-subtle shape on the mouth really draws attention to itself. Then again I'm working large, but I was hoping to make a print or two.
