The lighting creates a wonderful atmosphere. Horus was the Egyptian god of the sky. His right eye was the sun and his left the moon. This reminded me of the ancient story of struggle between Horus and his uncle Set for Egypt. During the battle the left eye of Horus was gouged out. It was replaced by Khonsu, the Moon God. It looks like you caught him right after the battle. A superb image.

Excellent photo! And the all seeing right eye of Horus is on the other side. From what I understand, it is the eye at the top of the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill. Also known as the all seeing eye of God. Keep up the good work! :-)

I love this, the deep mystery around it, befitting an ancient sculpture. And the gold light emerging out of it. The deep recessed black of the eye really gives ancient feeling to it. You captured the feeling of a museum display too, because some museum displays have lots of dark around them. (That may not have been the case with this, in case you added dark, etc; but some displays are like this.) A really enticing piece, esp considering you shot it in a museum. Introspective and beautiful.

I'll do more in the next few days---I just wanted you to know I'm not through with you yet!
