Looking north towards some burg whose name I forgot. Anyhow we are about 5 miles north of West Point so add a few more miles northwards. I decided to stay on this road close to the river for the scenery and to get a feel for the towns hereabouts. Saw lots of reminders that NY considers itself a "sanctuary" (Hmmmm? Why?) and decided to move back inland to I-87 to make time to our next stop: Saratoga. We will poke around a bit and then come to the realization that The Weese had the wrong place in mind -- he was hoping to find Ticonderoga. Anyhow, an interesting wrong turn as things turned out.
