Thank you for the comments, all. I started by taking a picture with Photo Booth and then cropped and retouched it in Photoshop. The subject matter is a corner of my apartment with a few small palm trees, a scalloped cream-colored window shade and a slightly open window for light. I thought the result was intriguing.
