Description
_____ French schoolkids are now on holidays for a fortnight and there's currently much talk in the media about shortening this All Saints' holiday, as if school education was just a relaxing and most pleasant process that tires no-one, whether you be a teacher or a student....This snapshot I've chosen to put a temporary end to my recent Indian photo series was taken on my previous visit to India, in the State of Tamil Nadu, south-east of the Indian subcontinent. The contrast is violent between the plain and serene expression of these Indian youths on a school trip to a museum I was also visiting, and our Western schoolkids riveted to their connected tools ( expensive smartphones, headphones, headsets, tablets, ...) ,wearing designer clothes, jeans and tshirts, with impeccable haircuts and even make-up for very young girls. Having access to education is paramount in India, it is rarely free of charge, but highly respected, unlike what we can observe in my country, where teachers are too often slaves to government-planned success rates in schools, acting as smoke screens to make us believe that our pupils are working and learning hard to develop their skills...
....Please, zoom in for more details !Thank you so much for your nice comments for my previous Indian pic, and have a nice weekend. I had been away from here for a long time, for professional reasons, but will try to make up for lost time...

A GREAT photo!

Ah ! J'adore !

That are all beautiful. This is such a great capture, the info and shot you have are something you would see in a national geographic mag. Well done!!! Fave/like.

Superbe et quelle joie sur leurs visages !!

Beautiful children, great shot !!

They are all beautiful young ladies! All of them seem genuinely happy! A magnificent photo and capture of the joys life can dish out if one is receptive to the gifts! Magnificent clarity! Bravo and many fine kudos! I must agree with you assessment of the state of education in the U.S.A. We have become a third rate nation in many respects at a most alarming rate. Our demise cannot be far away.

Tamil Nadu is the hometown of the great 20th century Indian sage Ramana Maharshi. These young ladies are the proud heirs of a great heritage!
I'd buy them a milk shake, except I'm rather poor at present... :P

A third-grade math learning service https://brighterly.com/3rd-grade-math/ will introduce new concepts and ideas about geometry. Students will analyze, compare, and draw two-dimensional shapes to solve problems. They will learn to create scaled bar graphs and picture graphs, which allow multiple responses to be represented. The content is also designed to help students use addition and multiplication to solve problems, such as finding the area of a portion of a shape.
