On a summer's day a moose stands near the edge of a lake while over head a flock of wild birds fly over the lake's water.
A digital illustration using various 2D and 3D digital art programs (Photoshop CC 2018, Lightroom CC 2018, Topaz Impression 2.0, ArtRage 5, Daz3D Studio 4.9).

I was just reading about a Vermeer retrospective including others of the same genre where there was criticism that he "only painted what he was seeing." Microsoft's (WYSIWYG) What you see is what you get further played on this. I got comments like "Where is this located" on some of my prototype buildings as if SKETCHUP had geolocated every imaginative idea. This wonderfully portrays a place where Native Americans once walked across the lake instead of going around. The mood and response to this image needs no museum to place it critically into any previous genre.
