Poor old building standing out there all by its lonesome. It resembles the architectural style of the older buildings in NYC,. Nice capture.

great capture! this old building needs someone to lavish a lot of money, effort and time to bring her back to her glory days

Fantastic urban architecture that is emblematic of your country's type of townplanning. A very nice photo indeed.

An impressive building but I'm chuckling how they must have thought it too expensive to go along the side with the decoration. Great shot. :)

Actually, I like the lighting in this photo, Richard! It seems to fit the mood of this wonderful old building.

yeah, I'm with rod on this: The 'bad time of day' (an honest challenge to all fine photographers) makes the age and decay of this building feel all the more honest. And your shot brings out an aged, sad dignity to it. I like the dark light, and the luminous blue windows (good work on that---they stand out, like eyes), and the bleak stained walls: In this shadow, those stained walls seem sad and abandoned. And the empty street corner makes it feel even more abandoned. (I love how you get these empty streets and corners, etc; you know when that will enhance your shot.) Also: Ironic that you have a "Memorial Flowers" sign here: There's something about the whole shot that feels like a memorial. I love this photo---and your flat blue sky (but for clouds above the horizon) brings out the bleakness of it all the more.
