Description

Hi dear friends, it was such a busy day, so much was overruling me, that my plants fell into water, although, that's how we say it in Dutch. Haha, and really, I had planned to visit your galleries today, seriously! To try at least. Now I really have to "search" my bed, but not before I left this lovely couple here. I hope you like them too. Thank you so much for everything, your words always make me happy, they mean a lot to me. btw, The Latin name of the mushrooms is: Coprinus comatus. Dutch: Inktzwammen. You can eat these, but because they mostly grow on dog poo we don't eat this kind.

A very good tasting mushroom, but you have to prepare it quickly, otherwise it will break into a black mass. German Name: Tintenschopfling Here he grows on wet shaded meadows. Super foto, klasse capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that we've gotten to know this cute couple, it would almost seem barbaric to eat them. LOL

Great capture, Mies!

Those are fascinating mushrooms - I've never seen any like these. Yeah, I think I'd skip eating them, too! Great photo of them!

And if you do eat them you must NOT have alcohol at the same meal as they contain the same chemical as Antabuse,, a medicine to help alcoholics stop drinking. So it will make you very sick.

Now that is a perfect shot of this couple. My mom ate them often, when we got them from the park. YIKES! dog poo. Glad I never ate them :D

They're lovely, and such a wonderful shape! Andrea's comment was most enlightening. I've never seen them before, so there's no chance I'll be eating one any time soon, and I don't drink alcohol ... but still ... it's fascinating information!
