Love the postwork, but actually like the original of this best. Funny how that works--sometimes I like the original better and sometimes the PW, but I'm not always sure what motivates the preference. Anyway, great capture and postwork!

(skipping's not easy, but my comments take too long for me to do otherwise...) I already commented on the non-postworked version of this; the postworked is really complex. Your black is deep, and makes the colored sections seem like cutouts or flat graphics on top of black. But they're not flat: You do have depth in them; yet, because each shaped section seems to have flat hues in it, it's a depth with many 'tiered' sections---'tiered' because of the flatness within each section. This could be a topographical map, or an aerial view; the forms are very intense, with topographical lines converging intensely; and some very flat areas to boot. And the bottom portion---esp with the brown/peach extrusions in the bottom---could be an airpot on the water (those look like runways, almost), or a typical inlet found off a bay, estuary, etc, leading to the ocean. This is a very geological treatment, and It's one of my favorites of your abstractions based on a photo. A Chesapeake bay of the photographer's mind...
