i love the detial of the graffiti (is that how you spell it?) it really adds to the over all tone, hehe, love man. the trash, very nice too. this would be a cool scene in an animation.

Really great scene! The contrast is not believable in some places though. For instance the objects in the foreground left shadow are too faded. The blue fabric and that imediate area look really nice, along with the background outside the tunnel. Also the bump maps on the ceiling around the light could be layered more to give more realism. Very, very cool scene!

Okay, time to answer my critics! Actually the background is modelled, I was worried people would think it was a photo backdrop! Hey, I can always post a render of the building on it's own? The brick bump is a little low res, but I can live with it. The colour saturation may be slightly harsh, but I like my renders to have a rich illustrated look. I feel it gives them a greater sense of atomosphere. I should also mention that I used depth of field to blur out the foreground, giving it some mystery, a feeling of the unknown, what you can't see and what you imagine you do see. Hopefully this will be part of an animation, if my machine can handle it! Thanks to everybody who took the time to comment. It's always appreciated!

I often find that the one thing that puts a 3d scene over the edge is the little things that most people ignore....the nuances of light and shadow the little details, and imperfections. Your scene captures them all. Great job!!
