I decided to upload this an image because ive been a member for a while and feel guilty not doing so. I pretty much just built this house to try to learn better texturing techniques. still need alot of work, as well as the lighting and models etc.. all textures in photoshop except the stone porch and the environment which i got from 3dcafe.com. the plant model was upload ferom some sight ive long forgot, sorry

You need higher shadow map parameters, higher resolution textures, a little bit more details and maybe you didn't work with gizmo of UVW map. It takes time, man.Hope that your next pic will be much better.

You know all these suggestions are great but art is more then just knowing the software. As far as this new type of media for the artist goes its sometimes just knowing how to do the best with what you know. You don't have to know everything thing about the software to make it look good, and the shadows don't need to be perfect. It just has to be pleasing to the eye. Its not important that you please the 3D MAX experts. Most people that come here don't know the difference and theyre the ones that count.
