glow? what version are you using? 1.0? hehe. turn on additive transparency and self illumination. maybe even make the sparks bigger in size. the glow effect is a filter in video post (you need to create a scene event, then the add filter button will be accessible or somethign like that, i can't remember off the top of my head) and in 3ds max r 2 it's just called glow, in the new ones it's called something like lens effect glow. if you have version 1, welp, i don't think it has a glow filter. as for r5, i haven't used that, but i doubt they'd chage it that much. give the sparks an effects id number (right click on the particle system and go to properties) and you should have it. then just click a bunch of buttons on the glow popup menu to get some crazy stuff :)

id like to see a bit more work on the lighting to make it appear as the self illuminated lights are actually the source of light in the room, that and get the glow to work. of course i need alot of work on my own lighting as well so im not one to really point fingers.

Maybe you just clicked on render, instead, after adding glow you should click on execute sequence or somethin' like that in video post.
