Chomper: We'd better get these pieces to Silvanu quickly.
Mogbot: Might be a better idea to find someone to get rid of it - destroy it before it does any mischief.
Chomper: Not our problem, Moggie - we said we find it for her, so now we've got it, we take it to her.
Mogbot: I keep getting a nasty feeling we're being watched.
Chomper: Oh - the Giant Green Goblin again is it? Or maybe Big Mama? Come on, let's get going.

Some writers have in fact attempted a cross between SF and fantasy, as you did. A notable example is Michael Moorcock, several of whose works have in fact been published under the special genre 'Science Fantasy'. You're not alone!
