after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Love your entry into another world here, Steve. The way this woman opens a door, and she's suddenly face-to-face with a huge, dazzling city. And you did abstractions with it too...the red lines, blue lines---like you drew a gridwork over the skyline (or blended it). And love the purple for the door--strong contrast with your powder blue sky. And I assume that's a moon on the left? Whatever it is, it's a big sweeping crescent, and it's beautiful. Love the light on the leaves too, and the tile floor gently peeking through the mist. Your model is, of course, masterfully done, as she stares into this other world. Another powerful piece of design from you.
There are crazy people in the world, but we allow them to get guns, and as many as they'd like. Without those, they'd be dangerous, but not nearly as dangerous as they are with guns. This guy was a known criminal, had beaten his wife (or wives), his step child, and even his dog. He was dismissed from the service too, and still he could get guns. When will our legislators wake the hell up, and stop sucking up to private interests and do their job? We have more guns per capita than any country in the world, accdg to recent statistics. Limiting them, more stringent license, all of it, is necessary. You go through more to get a driver's license. It's insane.

Amazing what you see in a city these days Steve. A super concept and very original with excellent posing and details. A very tragic weekend with all those people shot. I can't believe someone would shoot little kids like that or anyone for that matter.
