Steve, this is dynamite. I love it. I love what you did with her face, and the many fabrics, and her pose. By bunching her up like this, we get to see the contrasts of all her 'rags'. She's a complete abstract artwork all rolled into one. Rag dolls go back before Christ; they're very, very old; and the idea was when one had nothing else to make dolls from, they made them from scraps, rags, whatever they could find. And the results could be stunning, because the scraps allowed the makers to do whatever they wanted. The results could also be "homey," and even touching, because it bore the marks of its maker. You got the whole mess-and-mass of a ragdoll here; and I love the ornament you put behind her, and the striped wall with that texture blended-in. And the stuffed animals all around it. (Is that a zlata character at her feet?) A terrific piece! And I love that green-blue hair too...
