'Neath the rays of a malevolent moon, in the cold damp chill of an unholy fog, evil stirs. Cloaked in the trappings of shadows and night, it rises from the halls and homes of the dead. Once again it breathes in the midnight air hung heavy with the sweet smell of decay and the death of timeless aeons gone by. Upon a monument it perches to stretch its leathery wings to bask in the rays of the moon, full and glorious in the clouded sky, as the autumn breeze carries the dessicated remains of the forest canopy rustling past. It's eyes pierce the veil of night glistening like embers of some deep furnace. It lets out an unholy cry, not quite a howl, not quite a shriek, not quite a scream, but some unnerving union of them all, that if understood by any mortal beast walking above the ground simply signified that death once again lives and walks the land. Tremble in the safety of your hearth's glow this night, for the Night Queen once again has risen. Keep your children close at hand, for they are not safe this eve.
