Description
TheArchivist (AR): “An interesting case, my Lady.
I have here a model of the so-called Time Key (but quite harmless, I assure you) which is an ancient device and designed to protect the borders of time and space. There are a number of such Time Keys, and the one this gentleman’s friend, Silvanu, has unfortunately (for her) encountered must have been lost for many aeons.
From his story it would appear that this Time Key (we may as well designate it by its common name) was in pieces and the lady Silvanu must have tried to reassemble it – not knowing that if it were to be incorrectly done the result could be a chaotic explosion in time.
So it must have been.
I would suggest, based on the evidence in the Archives, that the lady Silvanu has been, in effect, thrown into an alternative future in which she has been, it would appear, reincarnated in her present form, but left here in our world rather than in the world where such a form as hers now is would be acceptable and pass without comment.
It is not a simple magic, such as you are accustomed to exercise, young man, but an older, deeper, wilder and more wilful force such as you and yours are incapable of wielding – and rightly so; in hands such as yours the very fabric of the Multiverse would be constantly in danger of being torn apart!”
Kargaz: “And is there anyone who can use the key to change Silvanu back to her normal self?”
AR: “Is there anyone who knows where to look for one? These Time Keys were set in place throughout the Multiverse by beings commonly known as The Guardians, in some worlds worshipped as Gods, in others feared as Demons, but in all probability neither.
One of these Guardians will have been alerted by the lady Silvanu activating the Key. It will have taken the key from her after her transformation.”
K: “So we would have to contact that Guardian? A Guardian who can turn the clock back for Silvanu and reverse the effect of the Key she meddled with?”
AR: “I would concur with your interpretation of the situation.”
K: “How can I get in contact with –“
AR: With a power that could destroy you utterly merely by looking at you? I have no idea. I fear you will just have to accept the world as it is and return home with your friend in her new form.”
K: (turning to Auritu) “This transformation has been caused by a change in time; as President of the Time Lords, can you not alter the past – go back and ...“
Auritu: “That, my friend, is not possible. We may visit the past and the future of any world, but we may not interfere with its history.”
AR: “There was one Time Lord, my Lady, who ..."
A: “Whom we do not mention, Archivist. Yet even he could not do anything in this case."
K: “I will have to consult my colleagues. Archwizard Tarak may have some useful ideas.”

Looks like the plot is really thickening. A very nice contrast between the bright red of the hero's Louis Vuitton suit and the nice silken green Giorgio Armani garments of the President and Archivist, by the way. :P
