Description
Thoth: “I sense an approaching disaster.”
Ancient Anubis: “And what can possibly bother us?”
T: “Time. Cracks in Time. I fear the very fabric of Time is under threat, and with it the Multiverse itself.”
AA: “Explain.”
T: “A Time Key has been reported found in pieces; it has been retrieved, but incorrectly reassembled, and is malfunctioning. I have seen rifts and tears appearing that can rip our worlds apart.”
AA: “Ah. The Time Key the human creature found.
I have never favoured these humans; they have been nothing but trouble to the
flora and fauna of their unfortunate planet. Did I not warn you all those ages ago that all would be better off if they were eliminated, wiped from life and memory? Now you can see how my words are coming true.”
T: “You acted on your own words, and unwisely, at the time. Who knows how any creation will affect the Multiverse? Some escaped that Great Flood you unleashed, Ancient One; and you were then outvoted: we promised the humans there would be no second Great Flood.”
AA: “And went down to their planet teaching them how to read, write and grow crops. To what end? So that they could develop into the greatest threat to the well-being of their own planet? Mark my words, they will destroy themselves and life itself down there.”
T: “We agreed, Ancient One, that all beings were to be allowed to develop their own way of living.”
AA: “Hmph. And your solution to this new problem they have created for Us?”
T: “The old Time Keys must be destroyed and new ones set in their place. I have sent for our Time Guards; the corrupted Key must be unmade and its influence dispersed. And anything it has touched and damaged must be restored to normal.”
AA: “Such as?”
T: “The Guards will tell us what damage has been done, and We will then decide how to repair it.”

Taken in itself, this is a very nice render showing a rich contrast in color and form between two rather different-looking beings. The rich and ornate designs on them are a treat to look at. The hieroglyphics on the walls only add to the mythological flavor.
It turns out the seemingly villainous Anubis is actually one with high-minded concerns. The dialog is both a great twist on the universal myth of the Flood and an excellent comment on the current state of our world. Hopefully their decision to destroy the corrupted Key and undo all the mischief it has caused will mean something good for Silvanu! :)
