you got the spirit of medusa down pat, Steve! I love how the snakes are combed back into a pony tale, and some of them flop over her face. This is the best medusa I've seen, and you gave her a kind of reptile pattern on her skin (almost 'under' the skin), and glowing green eyes---this lady's gotta be dynamite at casual get-togethers. And her many arms carry quite an inventive array of weapons, including what looks like some of the scariest garden shears I've ever seen. I love the snakes on the ground too. The ancient Greeks are jumping out of their graves to see this: Great job on her. (And her outfit's really well done too.)

I think you are right to depict Medusa as a goddess like Kali ! In the greek myth, Poseidon is Medusa's lover ; and Poseidon and Shiva seem to be apparented : the bull is related to both Poseidon and Shiva. The trident of Poseidon is equivalent to Shiva's trishula; they both represent the destructive aspect of divinity. I think, but it's just a personal belief, that Medusa was originally a representation of this energy named Kundalini (identical to the Hebrew Shekinah)...This is a great scene ! The setting is awesome and Medusa is very well rendered ; poses and expression are excellent ! Lighting is perfect ! A great work , Steve ! Bravo !
