I visited there years ago - the magnificent gardens are what I remember most vividly, though the interior was interesting too. Strange how the window looks so much bigger in the old photo - a trick of perspective or has it been modified?

I used to have a tee shirt with the image of a framed Monet landscape on it that was being ripped to shreds by a cat - it was labeled "Clawed Monet"...
