The garden is very much kept like this on purpose Richard. Monet designed the entire garden to be wild in nature and not perfectly manicured...even though he had 7 gardeners! His wishes are kept up to this day. Believe me there isn't ONE weed or blade of grass in a place that it shouldn't be!
