Description
Malcolm Mitchell Young was an Australian musician and songwriter, best known as a co-founder, rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter for the hard rock band AC/DC.
One of eight children of Scottish couple William and Margaret Young, Malcolm Mitchell Young was born in Glasgow on 6 January 1953. In 1963, he emigrated from Scotland to Australia, settling in Sydney with his parents, brothers George and Angus, and older sister Margaret. His older brother, Alex, remained in Scotland and later formed the London-based group Grapefruit. His oldest brother Stephen is the father of his future AC/DC replacement Stevie Young.
But it's music lovers worldwide who are now saluting AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young, who died on Saturday after a period of ill health in Sydney at the age of 64. RIP: Malcolm Young

Excellent tribute to a great Aussie rocker. I know Malcolm was born in Scotland, but he was Aussie. Gone too early and sorely missed,

It's been a while since I've heard AC/DC, though I definitely know about Young, and his untimely death. (For today's world, 64 is young for passing.) Rhythm guitar is a backbone, and, though it doesn't stand out the most, it provides a huge foundation---esp if it's played by a great one, which Young was. I don't remember enough about the group to remember a lot of their symbols---if your piece has them, I'm woefully ignorant of them (my apologies). But your image has a great guitarist's stance, the backward sway, the mouth open, the stare into far realms of music-making, and a great surfing/traveling motif in the background. Sorry if I've missed any specifics. I love that he's standing on an amp (with those basic processors---reverb, "presence," EQ, etc...the bolstering 'pedestal' of all great guitar music). And you have a sand/orange tone throughout, evoking the beach; and a 50s postcard sky. Wonderfully done, and a fine tribute. (I studied flamenco guitar---which is entirely acoustic---and when I first picked up a rock guitar, I almost fell over from the sound. Learning to use it, and master it at the same time, is an art. Artists like Young did just that.)
